Home of the Real Downton Abbey
Highclere Castle, setting for the highly acclaimed ITV costume drama, Downton Abbey, portraying the British aristocracy of the 1900s, required two rugs for the Library and Saloon.
The library rug, size 12m x 6m, replicates an 18th Century Persian Kashan, the ‘Shah Abbas’ design of which was ordained by King Abbas of the 16th Century. The Saloon rug, size 8m x 5m, replicates a 19th Century Indian Agra, after the famous city of that name.

This rug was required at short notice to fit into the President's Suite of TV series 24, with Keifer Sutherland in the leading role. It was made in the Persian ‘Nain’ design to the size 20m x 3m and air freighted just in time for the filming
